On September 3, 2026, Fox News unexpectedly announced that Maria Bartiromo was no longer working for the network after more than 12 and a half years with the company. Fox simply described it as a “business decision” without providing any specific reason. But just one day later, Bartiromo’s attorney immediately denied that she had been fired, declaring the reports “completely and unequivocally false” and asserting that her side had evidence and witnesses.
Soon after, Maria also spoke out about the darker side of what she had witnessed inside the network over the years. As a senior employee, Maria had been very close to power struggles, harassment allegations, bitter political controversies, hundreds-of-millions-of-dollars defamation lawsuits, and numerous crises that had placed Fox News under enormous pressure.
